Chattabout Speech Pathology is a private practice located in Coorparoo, Queensland. It aims to support clients, whilst always maintaining a family-centred approach to therapy. Claire is passionate about helping all children reach their full potential. We aim to promote Speech Pathology within the communities of Coorparoo, Camp Hill, Norman Park and surrounding suburbs and support families to have access to information regarding speech and language development. Our reading and feeding group aims to assist families to support their child’s early language and literacy development, know what language delay can look like, answer questions about transitioning to solids and mealtimes and to link in with other mums in the community.
Areas of Practice
Assessments
Comprehensive Speech, Language, Literacy, Fluency, Mealtime and Pragmatic assessments are available with no GP referral required. Assessments will be prioritised to be completed within 4 weeks of referral. Claire works to support clients who are waiting for regular service and to link them in with other services that they may need and that will support them.
Therapy
Individual and group therapy is available to private clients, NDIS self and plan managed clients and to Medicare clients. Private health refunds are available to eligible customers. Clinic appointments are standard, however school and day-care visits are available at request, with billable travel added to the cost.
Clinic Information
When attending the clinic with your child/children you are expected to attend sessions as a partner in therapy. Please bring your child’s water bottle and a toy that they like, if you feel that they need one. Ample street parking is available at the clinic address. The clinic is above Adeona Daycare in the Queenslander house. Payment via Eftpos is available at clinic.
Groups
Chattabout Speech Pathology offers group therapy. We have Read and Feed group that aims to promote language and literacy in the community and support with early feeding. We also run Hanen and SoundsWrite groups regularly.
